PQ LLC Planning Expansion of its Georgia Based Manufacturing Facility

PQ LLC, a manufacturer specialising in sodium silicates, specialty silicas, and derivative products, has unveiled plans to expand the existing manufacturing facility situated in Augusta, Georgia. The expansion will introduce a state-of-the-art sodium silicate furnace on-site, designed for high efficiency.

The innovative furnace is poised to significantly augment PQ’s production capabilities within the Southeastern United States, concurrently bolstering its broader silicate supply network. Engineered with cutting-edge technology, the furnace will not only align with PQ’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions but will also exemplify the company’s dedication to sustainability.

As reported by businesswire, with an operational timeline slated for 2025, the project is set to fortify PQ’s longstanding presence in the Augusta region. Construction for the new furnace is earmarked to commence in early 2024.
