Praj Industries, a global player in bioeconomy solutions, has appointed Ashish Gaikwad as Managing Director-Designate, effective February 3, 2025.
Shishir Joshipura, the current CEO and MD, will complete his tenure on June 30, 2025, and he will hand over the role to his successor.

Gaikwad has over thirty-four years of experience in industrial automation, digitalization, and process technology. He also specializes in renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and autonomous manufacturing. His expertise brings immense value to Praj Industries.
Before joining Praj, he led Honeywell Automation India Ltd. as Managing Director for more than seven years.
His tenure at Honeywell included leadership roles across India, Southeast Asia, the Asia Pacific, and the USA. He was responsible for project engineering, sales, strategy, business management, and corporate governance.
