The Rajasthan government has approved the draft ‘Rajasthan Green Hydrogen Policy-2023’. The policy is designed to encourage the development of green energy initiatives within the state. Companies involved in green energy production will enjoy various subsidies and incentives under this policy, which is aligned with the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Policy-2022.

Key provisions of this policy include a fifty percent exemption in transmission and distribution charges for a ten-year period for renewable energy (RE) plants with a capacity of 500 kilotons per annum (KTPA) that are connected to the state’s transmission network. Additionally, the policy offers full reimbursement or waiver of wheeling and transmission charges for power plants, as well as reimbursement or waiver of banking charges for a duration of seven to ten years.
