From January 1, 2024, Rajiv Rajgopal will take charge as the business unit director of AkzoNobel. The company has established a new South Asia region to expedite its growth and bolster its market position in the area.
As reported by Business Standard, India will serve as the regional headquarters, leveraging its longstanding 69-year presence. Rajgopal will maintain his position as the chairman and managing director of Akzo Nobel India Ltd concurrently. With a tenure at AkzoNobel since 2013, he has occupied several leadership positions, including the role of regional director for performance coatings in West Asia and Africa.
