Replus, a pioneering battery manufacturing company and part of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has unveiled its plan to expand its current 1GWh production facility to 6GWh within the next year. The major expansion will incorporate next-generation battery technologies. This will serve the rapidly growing Indian market for Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Energy Storage System (ESS) segments.

The upgraded Replus 6GWh facility will be designed to deliver:

*High Speed Automation Manufacturing Process: Leverage automation, AI, and data-driven manufacturing. Integrate real-time monitoring, machine vision, robotic systems, and automated material handling. Use laser welding to enhance efficiency, accelerate production, and embrace sustainability by minimizing carbon footprint.

*Adoption of Advanced Cell Chemistry: To meet the evolving market needs, the plant will adopt a cell chemistry and technology-agnostic approach. It will handle high energy density cells, blade cells, and future cell chemistries. This includes Na-ion, LMFP, LTO, and more.

*Next Gen Products: The products from the plant will cater to various electric vehicles. This includes EV passenger vehicles, EV buses, and EV trucks. They will also support grid-scale renewable plants with Advanced Battery Packs and Liquid Cooled BESS Container Solutions.

Riju Jhunjhunwala, Vice Chairman, LNJ Bhilwara Group, said, “At LNJ Bhilwara Group, we have always been at the forefront of advancing clean energy technologies across our diverse business ventures. The expansion of the Replus plant to 6GWh marks a significant milestone in our commitment to driving India’s sustainable growth and energy transition.”</p>

Hiren Pravin Shah, Managing Director and CEO of Replus, said, “With this expansion, Replus will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy storage globally. By integrating high-speed automation and next-generation battery technologies, we commit to delivering industry-leading products for EVs and ESS applications.”

As per the press release, Replus expands its battery manufacturing capacity. This expansion reinforces its commitment to the Government of India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission. It aims to drive self-reliance and strengthen local manufacturing in India.
