Ministry of science and technology announced the results of the fifteenth round of the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF), highlighting the ongoing collaborative efforts between the two countries in scientific research and innovation.
This year, funding has been allocated to five innovative projects across various fields, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, biotechnology, urban mining and electronic waste recycling, and advanced solar and clean hydrogen technologies.
The projects selected this year underwent a rigorous evaluation process to ensure they met the highest standards of scientific excellence and demonstrated significant potential impact. The projects include the development of an AI-driven platform for monitoring soil carbon sequestration, the creation of eco-friendly methods for recovering essential metals from obsolete mobile devices, the design of cost-effective solar thermal desalination systems using nanomaterials, the utilization of the immune system to combat antimicrobial resistance, and the advancement of diagnostics and therapeutics to detect and combat microbial infections.
