revalyu Resources has announced a $100 million investment to increase the production capacity of its Nashik, India site to 280 tons per day (tpd).
The expansion solidifies its position as the world’s largest PET plastic recycling site, capable of processing approximately 35 million used PET bottles daily once fully operational.
Three Advanced Recycling Plants
The Nashik facility comprises three independent recycling plants:
*Two plants with a capacity of 120 tpd each, producing 100% recycled PET chips. The first plant is already operational, while the second will commence operations in Q3 2025.
*A 40 tpd plant that specializes in producing 100% recycled specialty chips and textile yarns.
These plants utilize cutting-edge glycolysis-based recycling technology, which reduces water usage by 75% and energy consumption by 91% compared to traditional PET production methods.
Scaling Recycling Capacity
With the commissioning of the second recycling plant, the Nashik facility now processes over 20 million used PET bottles daily to produce 160 tpd of high-quality recycled PET chips and polymers. These materials are being used across various industries, including packaging, textiles, and automotive.
The third plant, financed as part of the $100 million investment, is under construction and will add an additional 120 tpd capacity by late 2025.
This expansion will enable the facility to recycle approximately 35 million PET bottles daily, further supporting customers’ sustainability goals.
