Safex Chemicals Commences Operations at Manufacturing Hub in Gujarat

Safex Chemicals, a leading name in the specialty chemicals and crop protection space, has officially commenced operations at its newest and largest manufacturing facility in Bharuch, Gujarat, further strengthening its production capabilities in India.

Boosting Capacity to Meet Agricultural Demand

Commissioned in April 2025, the Bharuch plant is set to manufacture a wide range of liquid and powder crop protection formulations. This expansion significantly enhances Safex’s ability to cater to the growing demand from India’s key agricultural regions.

With an existing production capacity of 23,335 MT for liquid products and 51,395 MT overall across its Indian manufacturing units, the new facility adds an initial 30 MT per day for liquid formulations — scalable up to 80 MT per day, the company confirmed in an official statement.

Empowering Farmers Through Innovation

S. K. Chaudhary, Chairman, Safex Chemicals, stated, “Our new Bharuch facility marks a significant step in Safex’s mission to empower farmers with innovative crop protection solutions. Centrally located, it will strengthen our supply chain efficiency and responsiveness across India’s key agri-markets.”

Strategic Role in Agritech and Global Expansion

In addition to supporting core operations, the Bharuch plant will serve as a dedicated manufacturing base for Golden Farms, Safex’s agritech platform. As reported by thehindubusinessline.com, the facility represents the company’s seventh in India and eighth globally, underscoring its commitment to manufacturing excellence and innovation for both domestic and export markets.
