SAMSUNG E&A, a total solutions provider in the global energy sector, has announced through a public disclosure that it has bagged the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the TA’ZIZ Methanol Project.

They value the project at $1.7 billion, and they expect it to span forty-four months.

Project Overview

The project involves the construction of a methanol plant with a production capacity of 1.8 million tons per annum. It will join the TA’ZIZ chemicals and transition fuels ecosystem, which developers are building in the Ruwais Industrial Complex in the UAE.

Leverage of Expertise and Technology

SAMSUNG E&A plans to draw on its successful experience from a recently completed methanol plant in Malaysia.

The company will apply its unique execution system. This system emphasizes modularization and automation to ensure the project’s efficiency and success.

Hong Namkoong, President and CEO of SAMSUNG E&A, stated, “We plan to actively leverage local resources and our network of partners. We will build on our extensive regional experience in the Ruwais Industrial Complex, UAE.”
