Pharmaceutical company Sanofi is set to invest approximately ₹3,600 crore over the next six years to enhance its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad. By 2025, the company will allocate ₹900 crore of this investment.
Over the next two years, Sanofi aims to more than double its workforce at the Hyderabad GCC. The expansion will make it the largest of Sanofi’s four global hubs. The Hyderabad GCC will support the company’s global operations in areas such as commercial activities, manufacturing, supply chain, research and development (R&D), and digitalisation.
By bringing outsourced functions in-house, Sanofi aims to gain greater control over critical operations like manufacturing, commercial, and R&D.
As reported by projectstoday.com, the Hyderabad GCC will be pivotal in developing capabilities in artificial intelligence and digitalisation. Sanofi plans to hire data scientists and data engineers to bolster its digital team, leveraging AI tools to enhance operations across the value chain.
