Sapphire Technologies, a player in energy recovery systems for hydrogen and natural gas applications, is expanding into India through a strategic partnership with Tulip Compression Private Limited (TCPL).
TCPL, a leading provider of energy solutions in India’s natural gas industry, will collaborate with Sapphire. Together, they will deploy the FreeSpin® In-line Turboexpander (FIT) technology. The collaboration aims to address critical energy infrastructure challenges while advancing India’s clean energy goals.
Addressing India’s Growing Energy Demand
India’s natural gas sector is rapidly expanding, with over 24,000 kilometers of pipelines supporting industrial growth. The increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions makes this partnership particularly timely. Sapphire and TCPL plan to install more than 150 FIT systems across the country, transforming pressure regulation stations into clean energy assets. The initiative could cut carbon emissions by 3,00,000 CO2e annually, significantly contributing to India’s decarbonization efforts.
