SJVN Green Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has floated a tender to develop 1,352 MW of solar projects across 102 sites in Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0. The deadline for bid submission is January 16, 2025.
Project Distribution Across Districts
The projects will span four districts, with the following capacities: Pune (154 MW at nine locations), Nashik (304 MW at 22 locations), Ahmednagar (315 MW at 19 locations), and Solapur (579 MW at 52 locations). This large-scale initiative aims to bolster Maharashtra’s renewable energy capacity.
Tender Requirements and Fees
Bidders are required to pay a bid processing fee of ₹1.5 million and submit an earnest money deposit of ₹1.27 million per MW. These fees ensure serious participation in the tender process and align with industry practices.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, bidders must meet stringent financial and technical criteria. They need a minimum net worth of ₹12.7 million per MW as of the last financial year and an annual turnover of ₹19 million per MW for the past three financial years. Additionally, bidders must show a profit-before-depreciation, interest, and taxes of at least ₹3.8 million per MW. For working capital, bidders must provide a lending institution’s approval for a line of credit of ₹10.6 million per MW.
Technology Specifications
The tender mandates the use of solar photovoltaic technology, including crystalline silicon or thin-film modules, with or without trackers. Only technologies listed in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s List-I of Approved Models and Manufacturers are eligible, ensuring minimal technology risk and timely project execution.
