Solex Energy, manufacturer of solar equipment, announced plans to invest ₹8,000 crore by 2030 to establish a new cell manufacturing facility with an initial capacity of 2 GW. The facility will have the potential to expand up to 5 GW in the future.

In line with this expansion, Solex also plans to boost its module manufacturing capacity from 1.5 GW to 15 GW. The solar modules produced will feature N-Type TOPcon technology and rectangular cell designs.

The Tapi-R series, specially designed for large-scale solar installations in harsh environments such as deserts and arid regions, boasts a bifacial efficiency rate of around 80% and a power temperature coefficient of -0.28%/°C.

As reported by projectstoday.com, the Tapi-R series comes with a twelve-year product warranty and a thirty-year linear performance guarantee, ensuring minimal annual degradation. The new series is part of Solex Energy’s Vision 2030 plan.
