Soujanya Group to Unveil R&D Center at Navi Mumbai Facility

Soujanya Group, a technology-centric conglomerate, has revealed plans about the inauguration of an advanced Research and Development (R&D) Center along with a pilot plant situated at its Navi Mumbai campus. The construction of this establishment will adhere rigorously to the standards of ‘Current Good Manufacturing Practice’ (cGMP). The primary focal point of the R&D Center will be to accelerate the progression of products and processes for a distinctive division of the company known as Soujanya Lifesciences. This dedicated division is committed to the creation and distribution of Specialized Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and intermediates, targeting the pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals sectors.

Priyamvada Bhumkar, Promoter and Managing Director, Soujanya Color Pvt. Ltd. informed, “The significance of this R&D Center resonates profoundly with our overarching goal of establishing ourselves as the favoured provider of chemicals, particularly APIs and specialty chemicals, on a global scale in the coming years”.

As reported by CNBC TV18, distinguished by its innovative design, the R&D Center stands capable of concurrently developing more than six molecules, while simultaneously facilitating the production of a variety of volume-based products, with a maximum capacity of three to four metric tons per month. The architectural layout of the center encompasses discrete zones, including the R&D area, the Analytical Development Laboratory (ADL), the Pilot Plant, the Wet Lab, and the Instrument Lab. Moreover, the facility is equipped with stability chambers, designated storage zones, sections dedicated to the meticulous oversight of the Quality Management System (QMS), as well as spacious office areas and conference rooms.
