SunSure Energy Launches Open Access Solar Project in Uttar Pradesh

SunSure Energy launches its sixth open-access solar project in Uttar Pradesh, located in Augasi, Banda, with a capacity of 49 MWp. The addition brings the total commissioned open-access solar power in the state to over 100 MWp within the past year, and Sunsure now boasts a total of 160 MWp of such projects across Uttar Pradesh.

The company also has 270 MWp of solar projects at various stages of planning and construction in the state. With operational facilities in Agra, Banda, Mahoba, Jhansi, and Unnao, SunSure Energy launches its latest project to solidify its position as one of the leading providers of solar energy in the region.

The 49 MWp facility is anticipated to play a crucial role in Uttar Pradesh’s transition to sustainable energy and is projected to offset approximately 1.3 million tons of CO2e over its lifespan. The company supplies green energy to over twenty clients in the state, including notable names such as Wonder Cement, Inox Air Products, Kajaria, Dabur, and Gallantt Ispat.

Uttar Pradesh already has a renewable energy market worth 600 MW, with Sunsure Energy holding a significant 25 percent share, according to Shashank Sharma, the company’s founder, chairman, and CEO.

More than seventy industrial leaders across sixteen states, including major corporations like Sandoz, Lupin, KSB Pumps, Inox Air Products, Emcure, Dabur, and Olon API, are partnering with Sunsure Energy to advance their sustainability initiatives.
