Suzlon Energy Ltd is set to increase its wind turbine generator (WTG) manufacturing capacity by 45%, targeting 4.5 GW over the next year, informed Vice-Chairman Girish Tanti. The company’s current production capacity surpasses three GW annually.
Tanti added, “We are enhancing our capacity with advanced product technology, aiming to achieve around 4.5 GW within the coming twelve months”.
The growth will involve boosting capacity at some of Suzlon’s fourteen existing facilities, with the possibility of building new ones based on project locations. New projects are expected to emerge in states such as Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.
