Tagros Chemicals India has taken a significant step to strengthen its global footprint by acquiring global brand assets linked to Bayer AG’s Flubendiamide (FLB) active ingredient business across Latin America, EMEA, and the Asia-Pacific regions. With this move, Tagros advances its ambition to deliver world-class crop protection solutions to farmers worldwide.
Acquisition Covers Leading Global Brands and Formulations
Under the definitive agreement, Tagros has acquired solo and mixture formulations of Flubendiamide along with a comprehensive set of business assets. These include globally recognised brands such as BELT, FAME, FENOS, FENOS QUICK, BELT EXPERT, and TIHAN, all of which hold strong equity in international crop protection markets.
Indian Farmers Gain Access to Proven Diamide Solutions
For Indian farmers, the acquisition unlocks access to trusted, high-performance Diamide-based insecticide solutions used globally to control insect pests in key crops, including rice, cotton, vegetables, pulses, and fruits. Flubendiamide-based products offer a targeted mode of action, long-lasting efficacy, and a favourable safety profile. As a result, they help farmers protect crop yields while supporting sustainable and responsible agricultural practices.
Manufacturing Strength and Technical Support to Drive Value
Tagros leverages its robust manufacturing infrastructure, deep technical expertise, and strong understanding of local agronomy. The company aims to improve the availability of advanced formulations in India. At the same time, farmers will get benefit from consistent product quality and enhanced technical and field-level support. This move aligns closely with Tagros’ long-term commitment to improving farm productivity, reducing crop losses, and strengthening food security in India.
Global Expansion Across More Than 25 Countries
The acquisition gives Tagros immediate access to markets in over 25 countries. It significantly expands the company’s presence across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. In parallel, the transaction reinforces Tagros’ leadership in the Diamide insecticide segment. Diamides are one of the most critical and widely used classes of modern crop protection products worldwide.
A Defining Moment in Tagros’ Growth Journey
The company said, “This transaction marks a defining moment in Tagros’ journey. By combining Bayer’s globally established Flubendiamide portfolio with Tagros’ scale, technical depth, and manufacturing strength, we are well positioned to serve farmers across geographies with reliable and innovative crop protection solutions.”
Strategic Entry into Branded B2C Formulations
As per the press release, importantly, the acquisition marks Tagros’ strategic entry into the B2C formulations business. The acquired formulations portfolio will be housed under Arqivo, Tagros’ newly established entity focused on branded formulations and closer engagement with end users. Through Arqivo, Tagros plans to build strong, farmer-centric brands, expand field-level outreach, and deliver solutions tailored to local agronomic needs.
Accelerating the Shift to an Integrated Global Player
With this transaction, Tagros accelerates its transformation from a primarily active-ingredient-focused company. It is becoming an integrated global crop protection player with strong downstream capabilities. The move enhances customer relationships, strengthens brand equity, and creates long-term value across the agricultural value chain.
Supporting Sustainable Agriculture at Scale
As Indian agriculture faces rising pest pressures, climate variability, and the need for higher productivity, Tagros’ expanded portfolio and global expertise will play a vital role. Through science-driven and sustainable crop protection solutions, the company aims to support farmers in India and across global markets.
