The agreement involves the design, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a new iron ore screening and beneficiation plant (SP-II Package-I).

The plant, with a capacity of seven million metric tons per annum (MTPA), will be constructed on a turnkey basis at NMDC’s Donimalai Complex in Bellary, Karnataka. The consortium, led by Kalpataru Projects International, has been awarded the contract valued at approximately ₹8,71.6 crore.

The project is slated for completion within twenty-six months. As reported by Projects Today, Tega Industries specializes in manufacturing process equipment and accessories for the mining, material handling, and environmental sectors, while NMDC is renowned as India’s largest iron ore producer.
