Toyo Engineering Corporation (Toyo Japan) and MODEC have officially inaugurated their joint Global Capability Centre (GCC) — TOYO MODEC OFS India (OFS India) — in Bengaluru. This strategic initiative marks a significant step in strengthening their global operations and expanding engineering capabilities from India.

Scaling Up

The newly opened centre currently houses nearly 200 professionals and is set to scale its workforce to 750 over the next three years. The recruitment drive will primarily target engineering roles, including mechanical, civil structures, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.

As reported by projectstoday.com, OFS India, formed in 2022, is a joint venture between Toyo Engineering India (a subsidiary of Toyo Japan) and Offshore Frontier Solutions (a MODEC Group company). In addition to engineering services, the company plans to incorporate procurement capabilities into its operations in the near future.

Strategic Hub for Global Projects and Innovation

Takashi Kawahara, Managing Director of Toyo India and Chairman of OFS India, said, “The GCC in Bengaluru will serve as a strategic hub to support global projects, enhance engineering capabilities, and drive digital transformation. It also represents our long-term commitment to India, generating hundreds of high-quality job opportunities and contributing to India’s emergence as a global engineering and innovation centre.”

Demand for Skilled Engineers on the Rise

Kawahara further added, “We still need to hire many more people, especially those with experience, skills, and talent. So, we are looking for senior engineers, but also for junior engineers who can grow with us.”
