UPL Inaugurates Global NPP Research Center

UPL Ltd., provider of sustainable agricultural solutions, has opened its Global NPP Research Centre in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to advance natural solutions through scientific excellence and practical applications.

Equipped with a modern greenhouse and specialised tools, the centre will serve as a hub for experienced researchers, fostering collaborations with local and international universities and research centres. Additionally, it aims to be a platform for disseminating agricultural knowledge and innovative solutions.

The focus of the Global NPP Research Center is on biosolutions, which are agricultural inputs developed with naturally-derived active ingredients, including seaweed extracts and micro-organisms. UPL is well-known for biosolutions, and its extensive natural plant protection (NPP) portfolio addresses various applications. These include enhancing crop resilience to diseases, pests, and environmental conditions, supporting crop nutrition, improving soil health, and reducing residues and environmental impacts.
