Va Tech Wabag Ltd. has bagged a consortium contract from ONAS in Tunisia, worth 11.42 crore Tunisian dinars (approximately ₹304.93 crore).
The project involves the design, construction, and management of a thirty-six MLD wastewater treatment facility at Sousse Hamdoun II in Tunisia.
As reported by businessline, financial backing for the initiative is provided by AFD, BEI, and the EU. The project aims to enhance Wabag’s presence in Tunisia and across North Africa.
The completion of the project is slated for a period of twenty-four months, which will be followed by a year-long operation and maintenance phase. Wabag’s responsibilities are centered around engineering, procurement, as well as operation and maintenance duties.
