Waaree Energies, a solar panel manufacturer in India with a capacity of 12 GW, has bagged a contract to provide over 200 MW of DCR category solar PV modules to IRCON Renewable Power. This subsidiary of IRCON International is dedicated to a 500 MW grid-connected solar PV project, sanctioned by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA).
As reported by businessline, the solar modules supplied by Waaree Energies will be deployed by IRCON in Pavagada, Karnataka. In addition to being a major solar module manufacturer, Waaree Energies also operates as an independent power producer with a significant presence both within India and internationally.
