VA TECH WABAG Limited, specializing in water technology, bagged a contract valued at approximately ₹2,700 crore from the Saudi Water Authority. The contract is for the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a 300 million liter per day (MLD) seawater desalination plant in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
As reported by thehindubusinessline.com, the facility will utilize dual media filters and a two-stage reverse osmosis process to produce potable water, adhering to Saudi Arabia’s environmental standards. The project is set to be completed within thirty months.
Rohan Mittal, Head of Strategy and Business Growth for the GCC at WABAG informed, “The order aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and highlights our expertise in delivering sustainable, high-quality water solutions. It further solidifies our leadership in the desalination sector, and we are confident this achievement will contribute to our global growth in this domain”.
