I am looking for a bright candidate to work in my global procurement intelligence team. The function itself is 2 years old in our organization and the learning curve we are going through is quite steep. A company presentation is attached just for your information. I would outline position description as below
Opening for Global Procurement Analyst in Vesuvius, based in Sanaswadi, Pune.
Vesuvius is a global leader in molten metal flow engineering, providing a full range of engineering services and solutions to its customers, principally serving the steel and foundry industries.
Procurement Analyst will be part of Group Procurement team and responsible to keep organization updated on procurement performance against market changes. Strong analytical skills coupled with continuous learning is key to the success of this position.
Key role and responsibilitie
Generate Group Purchasing reports, to update the organization on market dynamics, price trends, commodity forecasts etc.
Track raw material cost impacts and run global compliance reports
Implement and improve new purchasing systems and tools
Data sanitization and improvement of global Raw Material/ Non-Raw Material databases.
Support Category Directors for better classification and analysis of their raw materials.
Notify site purchasing for Price Changes coming from Category Directors
Run global RFQ events and analytical support for negotiations.
Desired candidate profile
Engineering degree from a reputed institute with solid academic record, MBA is a plus
All round exposure of Purchase function, with hands on experience in data analytics
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and IT databases
Strong problem-solving
Highly motivated person and a self-starter
Effective communication and inter-personal skills
Strong negotiation skills
