Gensol Bags Solar Project Contract in Dubai

Gensol Engineering Ltd bagged a contract worth ₹186 crore for a 23 MWp rooftop solar project in Dubai. The contract, awarded by a UAE based sustainable development firm, involves the design, construction, and long-term upkeep of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for the engineering facilities of a major aviation company.

With a total capacity of 23,178 kWp, the project aligns with Gensol Engineering’s commitment to fostering sustainability in the Middle East. Scheduled for completion within twenty months, the initiative represents a significant stride in the region’s shift toward renewable energy sources.

Kapil K Nirmal, CEO, Solar EPC (MENA) at Gensol Engineering, mentioned that the contract will help the company strengthen it’s footprint in the Middle East and contribute to Dubai’s ambition of becoming a global leader in clean energy by 2050.

As reported by manufacturingtodayindia.com, the comprehensive project includes procurement of materials, construction, testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of the rooftop solar PV systems, which are expected to significantly reduce the carbon emissions of a key industrial facility in Dubai.
