Anupam Rasayan India Ltd. signed a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with BASQUEVOLT, S.A., a European developer of solid-state lithium batteries headquartered in Miñano (Araba/Álava), Spain. Both companies will explore the potential long-term supply of a specialty chemical product for a period of up to ten years, representing a cumulative business opportunity of approximately $300 million.

Potential Long-Term Electronic Chemicals Partnership

The proposed collaboration focuses on specialty chemicals used in advanced battery technologies and electronic applications. However, the LOI is preliminary and non-binding. Any future supply arrangement will depend on:

Successful completion of product development

Technical validation and qualification processes

Negotiation and execution of a definitive supply agreement

Consequently, the announcement represents an important strategic engagement rather than a final commercial contract.

Focus on Solid-State Battery Materials

BASQUEVOLT is developing solid-state lithium battery technology, a next-generation energy storage platform expected to play a major role in electric vehicles, energy storage systems and advanced electronics. Therefore, the potential collaboration positions Anupam Rasayan to participate in the rapidly expanding global battery materials and electronic chemicals value chain.

R&D and Specialized Chemical Capabilities

As per the press release and according to the company, the LOI highlights its strong research and development capabilities, advanced process engineering expertise, high quality and regulatory standards, ability to develop specialized chemical formulations and capability to meet stringent customer specifications. As a result, Anupam Rasayan continues to strengthen its position as a preferred partner for custom synthesis and specialty chemical development.
