SCIL and Genpact Collaborate to Establish New Global Capability Center

Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited (SCIL), a global pigment and colour solutions provider, has announced the launch of a new Global Capability Center (GCC) in partnership with Genpact. The initiative forms a central pillar of Sudarshan’s evolving global operating model and reflects its focus on operational excellence, governance, and scalable growth. By establishing the GCC, Sudarshan aims to consolidate critical enterprise capabilities, strengthen execution discipline, and enhance support for its expanding international operations.

Pune-Based GCC to Centralize Global Operations

The Global Capability Center integrates previously distributed enterprise functions into a single, coordinated hub.

As a result, the company expects to:

*Improve cross-geography coordination

*Strengthen governance and decision-making processes

*Enhance consistency in execution

*Better support global customer commitments

The GCC is designed to evolve with the company’s growth strategy. It will embed standardized processes, stronger controls, and scalable digital frameworks to drive long-term efficiency and resilience.

Driving Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

Rajesh Rathi, Global Chairman and Managing Director of Sudarshan Chemical, emphasized, “As we scale globally, operational excellence becomes a critical differentiator. Our GCC in Pune represents a strategic investment in strengthening process efficiency and execution discipline across the organization. In partnership with Genpact, this center will help us deliver faster, smarter, and more consistently for our customers, while reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement and customer excellence.” Through the GCC, Sudarshan will support its global operations beyond India, enabling tighter functional alignment while preparing the organization for future automation and digital transformation initiatives.

Leveraging Domain Expertise and AI-Driven Capabilities

Genpact will play a key role in consolidating, operating, and continuously improving critical enterprise processes within the GCC framework.

Diwakar Singhal, Global Business Leader for Manufacturing at Genpact, noted, “The launch of Sudarshan’s Global Capability Center marks an important step in our shared journey and reflects our long-term partnership. By combining Genpact’s deep chemical manufacturing expertise, process intelligence, and domain-led AI and agentic capabilities, we are helping Sudarshan strengthen governance, improve execution, and build an operating model that can adapt and scale globally.” By integrating domain expertise with advanced technology solutions, the GCC aims to enhance process visibility and enable smarter decision-making. It also seeks to build a future-ready operating backbone.

Supporting Global Expansion Strategy

The establishment of the GCC builds on Sudarshan’s recent global expansion efforts, including the acquisition of the Heubach Group in 2025. That acquisition significantly expanded Sudarshan’s international footprint and strengthened its global customer reach. Together, the acquisition and the new GCC reinforce Sudarshan’s ambition to operate as a truly global pigment leader. By aligning operational infrastructure with its strategic growth plans, the company is strengthening its foundation. This positions it for sustainable and scalable expansion in the global pigments and color solutions market.

As per the press release, through this strategic partnership and infrastructure investment, Sudarshan Chemical is strengthening governance and operational efficiency. The company is also laying the foundation for a digitally enabled, globally integrated enterprise model.
