Dileep Sanghani currently serves as Chairman of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and has remained actively associated with India’s cooperative movement for more than three decades. Over the years, he has held leadership positions in several prominent cooperative organisations, including National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), the National Cooperative Union of India, and GUJCOMASOL. His extensive experience in agriculture and cooperative governance is expected to strengthen the company’s long-term growth and farmer-focused initiatives.
Strong Political and Agricultural Policy Background
Sanghani also brings significant political and administrative experience to the role. He served as a four-time Member of Parliament from Amreli between 1991 and 2004 and has also represented Gujarat as a Member of the Legislative Assembly. In addition, he previously headed important state ministries, including Agriculture, Cooperation, and Animal Husbandry, where he played a key role in shaping farmer-centric policies and agricultural development programmes. His leadership at IFFCO has consistently focused on strengthening support systems for farmers while promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
