Sudarshan Chemical Expands Global Presence with New Frankfurt Headquarters

Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited (Sudarshan), a global player in pigments and colour solutions, inaugurated its second global headquarters in Schwalbach am Taunus, near Frankfurt, Germany. The new office, located in the Hillsite Office Building, represents a significant step in the company’s global expansion strategy following its acquisition of the Heubach Group in March 2025. The inauguration, held on June 9, reinforces Sudarshan’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Europe while advancing its position as a leading global pigment manufacturer.

Strategic Hub for Global Operations

Spanning nearly 21,000 square feet, the Frankfurt facility will serve as Sudarshan’s second global headquarters alongside its existing global head office in Pune, India. Strategically located approximately 11 kilometers from the company’s production facility at Industriepark Höchst, the new office has been designed as a modern, open-plan workspace that encourages collaboration, innovation, and seamless integration across Sudarshan’s global operations. The facility is expected to play a central role in coordinating business activities across international markets while supporting the company’s continued growth in Europe and beyond.

Strengthening Presence in Germany and Europe

Highlighting the significance of the new office, Rajesh Rathi, Global Chairman and Managing Director of Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited, said, “The Frankfurt Hillsite Office is more than a new workspace—it is a clear signal of how important Germany and Europe are to our global ambitions. This office reflects the scale and direction of where we are headed.” His remarks underscore the strategic importance of the European market in Sudarshan’s long-term growth plans and its vision to strengthen customer engagement, innovation, and operational excellence across the region.

A Foundation for Future Growth

Dr. Klaus-Dieter Baumgart, Chief Technology Officer of Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited and Managing Director of Sudarshan Germany Horizons GmbH, emphasized Frankfurt’s enduring importance to the company’s global network. “Frankfurt has always been central to our global operations, and this office is a testament to that. I am proud to lead our German operations from this new home—a strong foundation for everything we are building together,” Dr. Baumgart mentioned. The new headquarters is expected to enhance collaboration between Sudarshan’s international teams while supporting technology development, customer service, and business integration initiatives.

Building on a Strong Global Legacy

With the successful integration of the Heubach acquisition, Sudarshan has further strengthened its position in the global pigments industry. The combined organization brings together more than 270 years of pigment manufacturing heritage, creating one of the world’s most experienced and diversified pigment businesses. Today, Sudarshan serves customers in more than 120 countries through a network of 19 manufacturing sites and a global customer base exceeding 4,000 companies. As reported by markets.ft.com, as the company continues to expand its international footprint, the new Frankfurt headquarters will serve as a strategic center for driving innovation, supporting customers, and accelerating growth across key global markets.
