Godavari Biorefineries Limited secured a patent from the European Patent Office for its invention, “Pharmaceutical Composition and a Process to Prepare the Same.” The patent covers a pharmaceutical composition that combines novel anti-cancer compounds with a solubilising agent, along with a process for preparing the composition. The development strengthens the company’s oncology-focused intellectual property portfolio and expands its international presence in pharmaceutical research.

Enhancing Solubility and Bioavailability

The patented composition aims to improve the solubility and bioavailability of the active anti-cancer compounds. As a result, it could enhance their therapeutic potential and support the development of more effective treatment options. The composition has potential applications in treating various cancers, including breast and prostate cancers, particularly through oral administration. By addressing formulation challenges, the innovation could help improve the practical therapeutic use of promising anti-cancer compounds.
