Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Ltd strengthened its manufacturing leadership structure by appointing Amir Alvi as President – Manufacturing Operations and redesignating Pandurang Landge as President – Manufacturing Excellence & Technology Development. The appointments took effect on September 1, 2026, as the company moves to create two specialised leadership roles within its manufacturing function. Both executives have been designated as Senior Management Personnel under applicable SEBI listing regulations.

Amir Alvi Takes Charge of Manufacturing Operations

Amir Alvi brings more than 36 years of experience across the fertilizers and chemicals industry. His expertise spans manufacturing, plant management, supply chain operations and project execution. Before joining Deepak Fertilisers, Alvi spent more than a decade with Coromandel International Ltd, where he progressed from Executive Vice President and Head of Manufacturing to Chief Operating Officer – Fertilizers. Earlier, he spent 23 years with Tata Chemicals Ltd, building extensive experience across manufacturing and operational functions. With his broad industry experience, Alvi will lead the company’s manufacturing operations and focus on strengthening operational performance across its manufacturing network.

Pandurang Landge to Lead Manufacturing Excellence

Deepak Fertilisers has redesignated Pandurang Landge, formerly President – Manufacturing, as President – Manufacturing Excellence & Technology Development. Landge brings 44 years of domestic and international experience to the role. His career began with Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF), after which he spent two decades in Saudi Arabia. During his international tenure, Landge led a start-up that subsequently became a public company in 2008. His extensive experience will support the company’s efforts to strengthen manufacturing excellence and advance technology development.

Dual Leadership Structure to Strengthen Manufacturing

By separating manufacturing operations from manufacturing excellence and technology development, Deepak Fertilisers aims to establish a more focused leadership structure. The new arrangement brings together operational expertise, manufacturing excellence and technology development under specialised leadership. Consequently, the company can strengthen day-to-day manufacturing performance while simultaneously focusing on technology, process improvements and long-term operational capabilities. As reported by scanX, the leadership changes reflect Deepak Fertilisers’ continued focus on strengthening its manufacturing organisation and building capabilities to support future growth.
