L&T Technology Services (LTTS) inaugurated its AI-Native Engineering Intelligence (EI) Lab for Digital Manufacturing in Bengaluru. The new facility enables customers and partners to experience how artificial intelligence (AI), digital twins, robotics and autonomous systems can transform manufacturing operations. The lab demonstrates how manufacturers can connect digital engineering, virtual validation, intelligent production and autonomous operations. Moreover, it provides a practical environment to explore how these technologies work together throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
Four Key Capabilities of the AI-Native Manufacturing Lab
The EI Lab extends LTTS’ Engineering Intelligence strategy to the manufacturing shop floor. Through live and scenario-based demonstrations, it helps customers understand how to implement AI-driven technologies, improve operational efficiency and scale digital transformation.
The facility focuses on four key capability areas.
- Manufacturing Intelligence
The Manufacturing Intelligence pillar features an AI-powered Manufacturing Command Center that supports data-driven decision-making. It integrates executive decision intelligence, a manufacturing data fabric and knowledge graphs to provide actionable insights.
Additionally, an AI-powered supply chain control tower supports production planning and multi-plant benchmarking. These capabilities help manufacturers improve visibility, coordinate supply chains and make informed operational decisions.
- AI-Native Factory Powered by NVIDIA Technologies
The AI-Native Factory demonstrates how intelligent machines, industrial robots, collaborative robots (cobots), drones, autonomous systems and digital twins can work together to perform manufacturing tasks with minimal human intervention.
To enable these capabilities, LTTS has integrated an NVIDIA-accelerated environment featuring NVIDIA Omniverse, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, NVIDIA PhysX, NVIDIA Cosmos and NVIDIA NeMo. The lab also incorporates OpenUSD-based digital twin workflows, accelerated visualisation and technologies for Industrial AI and Physical AI.
As a result, manufacturers can explore advanced simulation, virtual factory environments and intelligent automation before deploying solutions in real-world production settings.
- Operations AI and Autonomous Systems
The Operations AI and Autonomy pillar focuses on safer, more reliable and governed autonomous manufacturing. It incorporates a verification gate that checks actions generated by AI agent swarms before they reach machines.
This approach supports controlled execution and helps reduce risks associated with autonomous decision-making in connected manufacturing environments.
Furthermore, the platform addresses multiple industrial applications, including factory design and simulation, production management, process and quality control, maintenance and sustainability. These capabilities help manufacturers explore opportunities to improve productivity, quality and resource efficiency.
- EIOne: LTTS’ Unified Engineering Intelligence Platform
LTTS has also integrated EIOne, its Engineering Intelligence platform, into the lab. The platform brings together more than 100 Engineering Intelligence solutions and agentic AI swarms within a unified, governed ecosystem. Through EIOne, enterprises can build, deploy, orchestrate and scale AI-driven engineering and manufacturing workflows. At the same time, the platform supports enterprise-grade security, governance and operational control. Consequently, manufacturers can explore how AI solutions can integrate with existing engineering and production processes while maintaining oversight of critical operations.
NVIDIA Collaboration Advances AI-Driven Manufacturing
Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director for South Asia at NVIDIA, highlighted the role of AI in shaping future manufacturing environments. He noted that the combination of NVIDIA technologies—including accelerated computing, software and world models—with LTTS’ engineering expertise provides manufacturers with a practical environment to explore and validate simulation-first, AI-driven approaches to industrial transformation.
LTTS Strengthens Its Engineering Intelligence Strategy
Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of L&T Technology Services and a NASSCOM Executive Council Member, emphasised the lab’s role in bringing Engineering Intelligence into a practical manufacturing environment. He explained that the facility allows customers to experience how engineering, AI and physical systems can work together to address real-world industrial challenges. He also highlighted how LTTS’ collaboration with NVIDIA combines advanced simulation and accelerated computing with engineering and manufacturing expertise to develop practical solutions for global customers.
Driving the Future of Smart Manufacturing
With the launch of its AI-Native Manufacturing Lab, LTTS is strengthening its focus on AI-powered industrial transformation. By combining manufacturing intelligence, digital twins, autonomous systems and NVIDIA-accelerated technologies, the facility offers manufacturers an environment to explore emerging technologies and evaluate their potential applications. As per the press release, the initiative aims to help enterprises advance towards more connected, intelligent and autonomous manufacturing operations.
