Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Ltd (ARE&M) has appointed Narayan Choudhary as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). He succeeds C. Narasimhulu Naidu, who is retiring after more than three decades of service to the organisation.
Leadership transition aligns with next phase of growth
The leadership change comes at a critical stage in ARE&M’s growth journey, as the company accelerates its manufacturing and operational transformation. In his new role, Choudhary will lead manufacturing operations and enterprise-wide operational strategy, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.
Three decades of experience in large-scale transformation
As reported by manufacturingtodayindia.com, Choudhary brings nearly 30 years of experience across the automotive and industrial sectors. Over his career, he has led large-scale transformation programmes, including greenfield project development, new technology adoption, supply chain modernisation, quality systems, and people leadership. Prior to joining ARE&M, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Business Head at Taco Punch Powertrain.
Driving Industry 4.0 and future-ready manufacturing
Harshavardhana Gourineni, Executive Director, ARE&M, said the company is strengthening its operational leadership at a pivotal moment. “We are delighted to welcome Narayan at a crucial juncture in our manufacturing evolution. His strong command of Industry 4.0 practices will significantly advance our operational excellence agenda. His experience will add immense value to our ‘Factories of the Future’ initiative, which focuses on building highly automated, digitally enabled, and globally benchmarked manufacturing systems,” Gourineni said.
Strengthening global manufacturing footprint
Choudhary said he looks forward to building on the company’s strong manufacturing foundation and expanding its global presence. “It is an honour to join an organisation that has consistently led with manufacturing and operational excellence. I look forward to building on ARE&M’s legacy and contributing to the company’s expanding global footprint,” he said.
