Baerlocher India Unveils GHG Emission Optimised Plant in Madhya Pradesh

Baerlocher India has inaugurated its state-of-the-art facility in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, positioning itself as one of the largest PVC stabilizer manufacturers at a single site. The plant will produce sustainable additives for the PVC and polymer industry, including calcium-based PVC stabilizers and metal soaps.

What sets this plant apart is its strong commitment to sustainability, which is evident in its substantial reliance on solar power, utilisation of biomass fuel, and a focus on renewable energy sources. Moreover, the plant prioritises water efficiency and indoor environmental quality, making it a prominent symbol of sustainable advancement in the PVC industry.

As reported by ManufacturingToday, Baerlocher India has also introduced a forward-thinking initiative by unveiling a 500KWp rooftop solar panel installation at the new plant. The initiative is expected to generate 0.75 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean and renewable energy annually, resulting in a substantial reduction of 698 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) emissions each year.

Jayen Modi, Managing Director, Baerlocher India, mentioned that the plant is a significant milestone for Baerlocher, marking it as the company’s largest investment outside of Germany. He emphasised that this achievement aligns with Baerlocher’s mission to lead the way in the future of PVC through sustainable additives. Additionally, he highlighted Baerlocher India’s enduring dedication to innovation and environmental responsibility, underscoring the brand’s commitment to pioneering initiatives that make environmental conservation a core element.
