Coromandel International, an agricultural solutions provider, unveiled ten new products, including three patented innovations, designed to boost crop yields, manage pest infestations, and promote sustainable farming practices.
One of these patented products, called prachand, is the result of a partnership with ISK Japan, leveraging cutting-edge Japanese technology to protect paddy crops from destructive pests like stem borers and leaf folders. Prachand can help mitigate potential yield losses of up to seventy percent for farmers.
Among the other new offerings is a novel neem-coated bio plant and soil health enhancer, along with five generic formulations, including three herbicides, aimed at providing comprehensive crop protection solutions with significant impact.
The company has been actively expanding its product range in recent years, with sales from new products accounting for 15% of total sales in the 2023-24 fiscal year. This is the first time that Coromandel International has introduced a large number of new products in a single year, with one developed through collaboration with Japanese partners and four originating from in-house research and development efforts.
As reported by businessline, the diversified portfolio expansion is expected to further enrich the company’s offerings, as highlighted in their official statement.
