Danfoss, a known name in engineering solutions for climate and energy, is strengthening its presence in India with the expansion of its distribution center. This expansion coincides with the 90th anniversary of the parent company, marking a significant milestone in its history. The new state-of-the-art facility spans 43,000 square feet and offers 4,000 pallet positions, equipped with advanced infrastructure to support Danfoss India’s growing business operations.
Located in close proximity to the Danfoss Chennai factory in the Oragadam SIPCOT industrial area, the facility was inaugurated by Ravichandran Purushothaman, President of Danfoss India Region, in the presence of Amit Dawar, VP of DHL Supply Chain, and members of the Danfoss India Management Team, including Madhur Sehgal, Muralidar VS, Uma Shankar Rajendran, and Ranjith Raman.
Danfoss India has ambitious growth plans, aiming to double its revenue by 2025. Currently, the company is experiencing strong double-digit compounded annual growth rates (CAGR) of 18-20%. The expanded distribution center will create additional space at the Danfoss Chennai Factory, enabling further expansion of manufacturing operations.
As reported by Passionate In Marketing, this center will serve as a hub for aggregating Danfoss products from various regions, including Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Denmark, primarily for core businesses such as power electronics and drives and climate solutions. It will not only supply products to customers in India, but also to neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka.
