Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories completed a definitive acquisition of Stugeron Forte and Stugeron Plus from Johnson & Johnson across 18 markets in the APAC and EMEA regions, with India and Vietnam identified as key markets. This move marks Dr. Reddy’s entry into the anti-vertigo segment and strengthens its Central Nervous System (CNS) portfolio.
Stugeron: A Leading Anti-Vertigo Brand
Stugeron, containing Cinnarizine, is an antihistamine indicated for the treatment of vestibular disturbances and vertigo. In India, Stugeron already leads the Cinnarizine represented pharmaceutical market (RPM). It also ranks second in the anti-vertigo extended represented pharmaceutical market (eRPM). The acquisition gives Dr. Reddy’s a strategic opportunity to expand its footprint in the anti-vertigo space. It also reinforces its CNS portfolio.
