EIL along with IOCL Successfully Assembles C3 Splitter at Panipat Refinery

Engineers India Limited (EIL), in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Panipat refinery, has achieved a significant milestone by successfully assembling the bottom section of the C3 splitter for the 1,150 KTPA propylene recovery unit as part of the Panipat refinery expansion project managed by EIL in EPCM mode.

As reported by PSU Connect, towering at a total height of 115.6 meters, the C3 splitter, upon completion, will stand as one of the tallest equipment pieces within the refinery. Operating at a pressure range of 7 to 8.3 kg/cm2 and a temperature range of 10.71 to 23.2 degrees Celsius, the C3 splitter processes C3 mix process fluid sourced from the de-ethanizer.
