Recyclekaro, which is into e-waste and lithium-ion battery recycling within India, is on the verge of introducing India’s inaugural plasma furnace technology unit. The innovative technology utilizes high-temperature plasma arcs to effectively extract valuable metals from various waste sources. In contrast to conventional methods, which may pose environmental risks, this approach offers a cleaner and more sustainable method of metal extraction.

The state-of-the-art unit by Recyclekaro, initially designed with a capacity of 7,500 metric tons, is geared towards recovering precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and rare earth metals from electronic waste and industrial residues. With the integration of the new plasma furnace, Recyclekaro’s e-waste recycling capacity is anticipated to escalate nearly tenfold to 75,000 metric tons per annum.

Amidst China’s significant dominance, accounting for approximately 85% of rare earth elements (REE) production, Recyclekaro aims to make a substantial impact on rare earth elements production, aspiring to achieve output levels ranging from 1 to 1.5 MT per annum, as per the company’s announcement.
