First Graphene Signs Deal with UAE’s EMDAD for Kainos Technology Development

First Graphene (FGR) recently inked a deal with EMDAD Group, an integrated services provider based in Abu Dhabi. Both the brands will jointly develop and propose a plan for funding, designing, constructing, and commissioning a small-scale hydrodynamic cavitation reactor utilising First Graphene’sKainos Technology. The idea is to establish a reactor capable of converting petroleum feedstock from oil producers into high-quality battery-grade graphite, graphene, and hydrogen.

FGR acquired the patents for Hydrodynamic Cavitation Technology, known as Kainos Technology, in October 2021, following a successful partnership with the UK-based research and development group, Kainos Innovation Limited. Due to a sustainable innovation grant from the UK Government, the partnership was able to advance research and development efforts, confirming that Kainos Technology can directly transform low-cost hydrocarbon feedstocks into graphene materials and hydrogen gas.

As reported by Graphene-info, since obtaining patents, First Graphene has been actively pursuing the commercialisation of this technology, primarily within the oil and gas sector. The technology’s ability to generate alternative energy sources and synthetic graphitic materials aligns with the industry’s transition goals.
