Hindustan Zinc Showcases the Future of Critical Minerals at IITF 2025

Hindustan Zinc is leveraging IITF 2025 in New Delhi to highlight the growing importance of critical minerals in India’s long-term industrial and infrastructure growth. The company has set up an immersive mining and metals experience focused on technology, sustainability, and zinc-based corrosion protection — all positioned to support the vision of a Viksit Bharat. The exhibit is housed at the Mining Pavilion in Bharat Mandapam and runs from 14 to 27 November.

Tech-Led Showcase Brings Critical Minerals to Life

An interactive RFID-based cube stands out at the stall, explaining how critical minerals such as zinc, silver, and lead enable clean energy systems, advanced manufacturing, and long-lasting infrastructure. Digital visualisations further show how these minerals power India’s Critical Mineral Mission and broader energy-transition initiatives. The exhibit also includes a virtual reality tour of the Rampura Agucha Mine and Chanderiya Smelter. Through VR, visitors can explore underground mining, digital process control, and resource-efficiency practices that define Hindustan Zinc’s operations.

Spotlight on Corrosion Protection and Key Products

The product zone displays Special High Grade Zinc, EcoZen low-carbon zinc, pure silver, and zinc ore. Live demonstrations highlight zinc’s role in galvanisation, a process that significantly cuts corrosion and extends the lifespan of steel structures. The theme aligns with the company’s national awareness campaign, “Zung Ke Khilaaf Zinc 2.0,” which promotes corrosion protection across India’s infrastructure sectors.

Driving India’s Critical Mineral Security

As reported by manufacturingtodayindia.com, with decades of expertise in mining and smelting, Hindustan Zinc is using its IITF 2025 presence to demonstrate how responsible mining, technology adoption, and efficient resource management can strengthen India’s critical mineral security and accelerate its future growth.
