HPCL Confirms Stable Supply of LPG and Petroleum Fuels

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) reassured consumers that domestic LPG and fuel supplies across India remain stable and adequate, despite ongoing geopolitical developments. The company confirmed that it is closely monitoring the situation and continues to prioritise uninterrupted distribution of LPG and petroleum fuels across its nationwide network.

LPG Supply Remains Stable Across the Country

HPCL stated that LPG distribution continues to receive the highest operational priority. The corporation is currently dispatching more than 15.2 lakh LPG cylinders per day, which is fully aligned with normal distribution levels. By maintaining steady dispatch volumes, the company aims to ensure that households across India continue to receive cooking gas without disruption. HPCL also confirmed that it is closely monitoring supply chains to maintain consistent availability.

Digital Platforms Driving LPG Refill Bookings

To make LPG services more convenient for consumers, HPCL continues to encourage the use of digital booking platforms. Customers can easily book LPG refills through multiple channels, including IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System), SMS services, Missed Call booking, HP PAY mobile application and WhatsApp booking. Currently, nearly 93% of LPG refill bookings are already being made through these digital platforms, reflecting growing adoption of online services by consumers.

Petrol and Diesel Supplies Remain Strong

Alongside LPG distribution, HPCL has maintained stable supplies of transportation fuels across its retail network.

On April 3, 2026, the company supplied:

*36,188 kilolitres (over 3.6 crore litres) of petrol

*67,339 kilolitres (over 6.7 crore litres) of diesel

These volumes were delivered through fuel dispensing stations across HPCL’s extensive retail network, ensuring steady availability for motorists and commercial users.

Secure Delivery Through OTP-Based Authentication

To enhance transparency and safety in fuel and LPG deliveries, HPCL has implemented DAC/OTP-based authentication systems. Under this process, customers receive deliveries only after verification through One-Time Password (OTP) authentication, ensuring that each delivery is secure and properly documented. This system helps eliminate delivery discrepancies and strengthens trust between distributors and consumers.

Active Customer Support and Communication

HPCL continues to remain actively engaged with customers through multiple communication channels. Consumers can seek assistance or raise concerns through:

*HPCL social media platforms

*Official company web portal

*Toll-free customer care number: 1800-2333-555

In addition, customers can visit the myhpgas.in portal for booking services, tracking deliveries, and obtaining prompt support. Through these channels, the company aims to maintain transparency and quickly resolve customer queries.

Crackdown on Malpractices in LPG Distribution

At the same time, HPCL has intensified its efforts to prevent irregularities in LPG distribution. The company has launched surprise inspections and enforcement drives to curb malpractices in the supply chain. So far, the corporation has conducted over 3,650 inspections across various distribution centres. Based on these inspections, action has been taken against 31 distributors, including the suspension of 12 distributorships. These enforcement measures are being carried out in close coordination with other Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and state governments.

Raids and Cylinder Seizures to Prevent Illegal Activities

Authorities have also undertaken large-scale enforcement actions to combat illegal LPG diversion and other violations.

To date, the enforcement teams have conducted:

*653 raids

*Registered 40 FIRs

*Seized more than 3,163 LPG cylinders

The efforts are part of HPCL’s broader strategy to maintain integrity and transparency in the LPG supply chain.

Consumers Advised Against Panic Booking

HPCL has reiterated that LPG availability remains stable, and there are no anticipated shortages in the near term. Therefore, the company has advised consumers not to engage in panic booking, unnecessary queuing, or stockpiling of LPG cylinders. Instead, customers are encouraged to rely on official communication channels and digital platforms for accurate updates.

Commitment to Reliable Energy Supply

HPCL emphasised that it remains fully committed to ensuring seamless LPG availability, transparent distribution systems, and strict enforcement against malpractices. As per the press release, by maintaining strong supply chains, digital service platforms, and enforcement mechanisms, the company aims to provide reliable energy access to millions of households and consumers across India.
