It has also been recognized in four out of five broad subject areas, including engineering and technology, natural sciences, social sciences and management, and arts and humanities.
The breakdown of rankings across various disciplines showcases IIT Bombay’s prowess, with notable achievements in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, civil and structural engineering, chemical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical, aeronautical and manufacturing engineering, and minerals and mining engineering.
The institute’s academic reputation shines particularly bright in mathematics, in engineering, specifically in mineral and mining engineering. In citations per paper and H-Index, IIT Bombay excels in engineering, specifically in minerals and mining, reflecting its strong research output and impact.
