Indosol Solar Aims for 10 GW by 2026

Indosol Solar has unveiled ambitious plans to build 10 GW of solar manufacturing capacity across the value chain by 2026. The company intends to leverage government incentives aimed at boosting domestic solar production and strengthening India’s clean energy ecosystem.

Expanding Operations in Andhra Pradesh

Currently, Indosol operates a 500 MW solar module plant in Andhra Pradesh. According to Chief Operating Officer Balachander Krishnan, the facility’s capacity will double by the end of 2025. The company also plans to expand its ingot-to-module manufacturing lines by the end of next year, ensuring greater control over the supply chain.

Riding the Wave of India’s Solar Push

India’s solar manufacturing industry has gained fresh momentum due to government’s initiative to cut import dependence and promote domestic clean energy production. Indosol, a beneficiary of central production-linked incentives, is well-positioned to capitalize on this push. The company sources key manufacturing equipment from Linton Technologies Group’s Vietnam facility, enabling it to maintain quality and efficiency at scale.

Strategic Partnerships on the Horizon

To accelerate growth, Indosol is holding advanced discussions with potential investors. The company is actively exploring offtake-based partnerships and expects to finalize a deal within the next three months. As reported by projectstoday.com, these collaborations aim to bolster Indosol’s financial strength and expand its market reach as it scales operations to meet surging solar demand.
