Inox Clean Energy Limited’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Inox Solar Limited, announced the start of production at the first phase of its 3GW solar module manufacturing facility in Bavla, Gujarat, near Ahmedabad. The Phase-1 capacity of the plant is 1.2 GW, the company confirmed in an official release.

State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Technology

The fully automated facility produces advanced N-type TOPCon solar modules, utilizing M10, G12R, and G12 solar cells. This globally recognized technology offers higher efficiency, lower degradation, and superior reliability, setting a benchmark for modern solar installations. Additionally, the bi-facial modules enable dual-sided power generation, enhancing the capacity utilization factor (CUF) and improving overall energy output.

Expansion Plans Across India

The Bavla plant is planned to scale up to 3 GW in its second phase of expansion. In parallel, Inox Solar is establishing an integrated 4.8 GW solar cell-plus-module facility in Dhenkanal, Odisha, reinforcing its footprint in India’s domestic solar manufacturing landscape.

Driving India’s Energy Independence

Devansh Jain, Executive Director of INOXGFL Group, highlighted, “We completed the first phase of our Bavla facility within four months. This milestone not only expands our capacity but also marks another significant step toward India’s energy independence. Given the current gap in domestic solar cell manufacturing, large conglomerates like INOXGFL, with integrated solutions, can capitalize on the sector’s large-scale opportunities.”

Paving the Way for Sustainable Growth

As reported by thehindubusinessline.com, the commencement of Phase-1 at Bavla demonstrates Inox Solar’s commitment to advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and energy security. The company leverages cutting-edge solar technology to strengthen India’s renewable energy ecosystem. It also aims to contribute to a self-reliant solar industry.
