Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) secured an order from Aramco, a major energy player in Saudi Arabia, to undertake a significant project involving the construction of 800 kilometres of gas pipeline.
The achievement comes in the form of a letter of intent (LoI) from Aramco, appointing KPIL for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities related to three packages within the third expansion phase of the Master Gas System Network (MGS-3) in Saudi Arabia.
The scope of work for KPIL encompasses the laying of over 800 kilometres of lateral gas pipeline. The MGS-3 project is designed to expand the existing gas network, facilitating the supply of gas to various industrial consumers. As reported by Business Standard, the expansion initiative is poised to bolster Aramco’s capacity to meet the escalating energy demands in Saudi Arabia, while reducing reliance on liquid fuel combustion, thus aligning with the country’s objectives of diversifying its energy sources.
