L&T Bags Contract for Energy Infrastructure in the Middle East

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that its hydrocarbon onshore business bagged an ‘ultra-mega’ order for setting up a Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) plant and allied facilities in the Middle East.
According to L&T’s classification, any order exceeding ₹15,000 crore in value qualifies as ‘ultra-mega’, underscoring the scale and strategic importance of the latest project.

Collaboration with Greece-Based CCC

The order has been awarded in association with the Greece-headquartered Consolidated Contractors Group S.A.L. (Offshore), popularly known as CCC. Under the partnership, L&T will serve as the lead partner, handling engineering and procurement, while CCC will be responsible for construction activities.

Comprehensive Scope of Work

The project’s scope covers engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of the NGL plant designed to process Rich Associated Gas (RAG). It will also include all related utilities, off-site facilities, and integration with existing installations under the broader energy infrastructure program.

The upcoming facility will treat gas from offshore and onshore oil fields, removing impurities such as H₂S, CO₂, and H₂O, and producing value-added products like lean sales gas, ethane, propane, butane, and hydrocarbon condensate.

Reinforcing L&T’s Global Energy Leadership

S. N. Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director, said, “The ultra-mega order reaffirms L&T’s position as a trusted partner in delivering mega energy infrastructure. It highlights our growing global footprint and ability to execute projects of high complexity in partnership with leading players like CCC.”

Subramanian Sarma, Deputy MD and President of L&T, added, “This project is not just about scale but also about introducing advanced engineering, long-term reliability measures, and managing complex brownfield interfaces to deliver superior value-added products.”

Strengthening Energy Security and Global Partnerships

The new order further consolidates L&T’s leadership in large-scale hydrocarbon projects and strengthens its commitment to advancing global energy security. As reported by msn.com, by leveraging engineering expertise and international collaborations, the company continues to build world-class infrastructure and deepen its relationships with leading oil and gas companies worldwide.
