NOCIL Limited, India’s leading manufacturer of rubber chemicals, has commissioned a state-of-the-art Pilnox TDQ/TMQ manufacturing facility at Dahej, Gujarat. The new unit forms part of the company’s previously announced ₹250 crore investment programme, aimed at strengthening its rubber chemicals portfolio and supporting growing market demand. With this expansion, NOCIL continues to enhance its manufacturing capabilities while reinforcing its role in supporting India’s evolving rubber chemicals ecosystem.
Strengthening Capacity to Meet Rising Demand
The newly commissioned facility will significantly enhance NOCIL’s overall production capacity, building on its existing manufacturing base. As demand for high-performance rubber chemicals increases both domestically and internationally, the expansion enables the company to better serve customers across the tyre and non-tyre industries.
The plant will manufacture anti-degradants under the Pilnox TDQ/TMQ range, which play a critical role in improving tyre durability, performance, and safety. In addition to tyre applications, these chemicals are also widely used in several industrial rubber products. By expanding its product capabilities, NOCIL aims to strengthen supply reliability and support manufacturers seeking high-quality rubber chemical solutions.
Strategic Location in Dahej PCPIR
The facility is strategically located within the Dahej Petroleum, Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR) in Gujarat—one of India’s most important chemical manufacturing hubs.
The location provides several operational advantages, including proximity to key raw materials, access to integrated industrial infrastructure and efficient port connectivity for exports. As a result, the Dahej facility strengthens NOCIL’s ability to maintain efficient supply chains while expanding its presence in global markets.
Focus on Safety, Sustainability, and Responsible Operations
NOCIL designed the new plant with a strong emphasis on safe and responsible manufacturing practices. The facility incorporates advanced process controls, energy-efficient technologies, and responsible resource management to ensure sustainable operations. The company has embedded operational discipline, environmental considerations, and process reliability into the plant’s design and daily functioning. These measures support NOCIL’s broader commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and sustainability across its operations.
Supporting India’s Self-Reliant Rubber Chemicals Ecosystem
The expansion aligns with NOCIL’s long-term strategy of contributing to a more self-reliant rubber chemicals value chain in India. As global supply chains continue to evolve, strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities has become increasingly important for ensuring supply security. As per the press release, in an industry where scale, process consistency, and long product qualification cycles are critical, NOCIL continues to reinforce its competitive position through sustained investments in manufacturing infrastructure and technology.
Leadership Perspective
Anand V. S., Managing Director, NOCIL Limited, highlighted, “As supply chains evolve, building strong domestic capabilities is a responsibility we take seriously. The facility has been designed with a clear focus on safety and sustainability, embedding energy-efficient processes, responsible resource use, and operational discipline at every level. Our focus remains on building scale with responsibility and maintaining a long-term commitment to the ecosystem we serve.”
