Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Limited Incorporated

The joint venture, named Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Limited (AVFCCL), brings together multiple stakeholders, including:

The consortium has been formed to develop the Namrup IV Fertilizer Plant, an advanced Ammonia-Urea Complex to be set up at Namrup, Assam.

Meeting Agricultural Demand and Promoting Self-Reliance

The project aims to enhance fertilizer production capacity to meet the growing agricultural demands of the region. By expanding local manufacturing, the initiative supports the government’s push for self-reliance in fertilizer production, reducing import dependency and strengthening supply security.

Driving Economic Growth Through Industrial Infrastructure

The collaboration represents a major boost to industrial infrastructure in Assam, with expected benefits for the regional economy, job creation, and the agricultural sector. It also reflects the growing role of public sector partnerships in expanding India’s fertilizer industry.

Oil India’s Stake in the Project
