Pharmexcil Initiates Strategic Export Drive to Latin American Market

The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) is set to host iPHEX-LATAM from February 17 to 28. The event will welcome 105 industry leaders from 82 prominent pharmaceutical companies across Latin America (LATAM), focusing on nations like Guatemala, Colombia, and Chile.

As reported by businessline, the LATAM region has emerged as a significant export market for Indian pharmaceuticals, accounting for 6.78 percent of total pharma exports, equivalent to $1.72 billion in the previous fiscal year.

Latin America comprises thirty-three countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Haiti, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, St Lucia, Grenada, St Vincent & Grenadines, and Antigua and Barbuda, among others.
